HELMET SH 307 (SHOCKPROOF WITH VISOR) is designed and intended for use by law enforcement officers of Ukraine, patrol police, and cash collectors for personal protection against blows from bladed weapons, stones, sticks, and other objects during the performance of activities provided for by the legislation of Ukraine.
STRUCTURAL DESIGN. The helmet consists of a rigid one-piece shell (cap), a transparent visor, internal equipment, a fixed headband, and a retaining system. The helmet’s neck guard is securely attached to the helmet’s cap. The helmet is a type B helmet (closed type, with a visor that additionally protects the face). The helmet design provides ventilation of the under-helmet space and face area, and does not interfere with the use of respirators, gas masks type MT213/2U or equivalent (with a central filter-absorber no more than 90 mm thick), and has protection of the ear holes from impact with thin objects.
The helmet’s rigid, one-piece shell (lid) is made of matte black polymeric materials to avoid glare from brightly lit convex glossy surfaces. On the inside of the helmet lid is a 20 mm thick foam padding designed to distribute and absorb loads transmitted from the shell to the user’s head. The inner padding has an outer covering of black fabric that does not cause skin irritation during use of the helmet by the user.
On the left and right sides of the helmet lid there is a visor attachment system. On the inside of the helmet lid there is a retention system, which consists of devices by which the helmet is fixed on the user’s head. The retention system includes devices that regulate the depth of the helmet fit, its dimensions and fixation on the head. The locking device of the helmet retention system is activated only as a result of a directed action. Hearing and ventilation openings are protected by special pads and additional dampers.
The helmet visor is made of transparent polycarbonate with a thickness of at least 4.5 mm, with a system for attaching it to the helmet lid on the left and right sides. The design of the visor and the system for fixing it to the helmet lid allows for its replacement. The design of the visor ensures its rigid fixation in the upper and lower positions. In the upper part of the visor there is a rubber pad (rubber or other material seal), which in the closed position provides protection against water or other substances from the top of the helmet from getting on the user’s face and the inside of the visor.
The mechanism of opening and closing the gate ensures trouble-free operation for 1500 cycles.
The outer part of the helmet follows the contours of the head and is designed to absorb the loads exerted on the human head. The helmets are designed to be easy to put on, take off and fit, and to be comfortable for the user.
PROTECTIVE PROPERTIES – The helmet’s resistance to perforation and the visor’s resistance to impact loads meet the requirements of GOST 78-41-014:2004. The protective properties of the helmet and the characteristics of the materials from which the helmet is made do not deteriorate as a result of climatic factors during the designated service life.
With a total protection area of the rigid continuous shell (cap) of more than 16 dm2, the weight of the product does not exceed 1.8 kg.
